EU says prolongs anti-Russian sanctions for 6 months

BRUSSELS, Dec 13 (PRIME) -- The E.U. has decided to prolong economic sanctions against Russia for six months, President of the European Council Charles Michel told reporters late Thursday.

He also stressed the need to implement the Minsk agreements on settling the conflict in southeastern Ukraine.

“E.U. leaders discuss sanctions on Russia after 9 December Normandy format meeting. The E.U. confirms support for Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity,” the E.U. Council said in its Twitter account.
